straight through single box 3' dtm exhaust
for a tuned 850 a mild tuned 998 and mild tuned 1100 they best system easily avalible is a small bore lcb or a maniflow 3 into 1 'cooper manifold going into a 1.3/4" bore exaust system
for highly tuned 998s/1100s and road tuned 1275s a medium bore lcb going into a medium bore 1.3/4" bore exhaust is the best
for max road 1275's a medium bore lcb going into a 1.7/8" exhaust system (avalible from maniflow) can be favourable if its producing around the 90+ bhp if less stick to 1.3/4" as it will give better power for most of the rev range
for race tuned 1275's not for road use a large bore lcb or large bore 3into 1 manifold going into 2" exhaust can be best, even then many stick to a smaller bore to improve torque at lower rpm say bellow 4000rpm.
play mini exhaust arnt the best in terms of power as they use restrictions to silence rather than a staight through of some other silencers. there are two systems which are commonly used and are very good.
RC40 - its a very good system giving a good note and not so loud in twin box for to atrack unwanted atenshion from cops. it is of a straight through design twin box system gives the best power and still a good note. it is at a great price just £50 for exhaust including fitting kit and link pipe
Maniflow - they have a very good reputation, there stuff is widly considered to be the best but is unlikly to produce a noticable differnce over rc40 system. a maniflow system cost around £100 twin box will be rqired to meet legal level of silencing.
for lcbs id just get the minispares £40 medium bore lcb its very well made and is alot cheaper than competitors.
for rear silencer some have a larger rear tail pipes eg 2 , 2.1/2 , or 3" this is nuthing but show, it has been shown to reduce power and silencing
